Pirmary Research About Chatbot

Unpacking Chatbot Use: What Our Survey Revealed

Welcome back, again!

Have you ever wondered how often people use chatbots, or if these AI helpers actually save us time? We recently conducted a small survey to get some answers, and the results give a good peek into the world of chatbot users!

Are Chatbots a Regular Part of Our Day?

The survey found that most people, about 66.7%, use chatbots sometimes. It's not an everyday thing for everyone, but it shows that these digital assistants are becoming a common part of many routines. I also saw that some people use them less often, while others use them quite regularly. So, usage really does vary from person to person.

Do Chatbots Really Save Us Time?

This was a big question, and the answer is a resounding "yes" for many! A significant majority of our participants, 66.7%, strongly agreed that chatbots help them save time when dealing with things like emails and phone calls. Others also felt they saved time, some moderately and some very much. This clearly highlights that people see chatbots as efficient tools that can make their lives a bit easier.

Which Chatbot is the Most Popular?

When it comes to favorites, one chatbot stood out significantly: ChatGPT. A huge 83.3% of those we surveyed said they use ChatGPT the most! Gemini was mentioned by 16.7% of our respondents, but interestingly, Copilot wasn't a primary choice for anyone in this particular survey. This really shows how popular and widely used ChatGPT has become.

How Happy Are We With Chatbots?

Satisfaction levels were a bit of a mixed bag, which is pretty normal for new technologies. About 33.3% of users rated their happiness at level 2, and another 33.3% at level 3 (on a scale of 1 to 5, where 5 is very happy). This means that while many are content, there's still room for improvement. However, it's great to see that some people (16.7% each) were quite happy, rating their satisfaction at levels 4 and 5. This suggests that when chatbots work well, they can be truly impressive!

What Does This Mean for the Future?

In a nutshell, our survey indicates that chatbots are generally seen as useful tools for saving time, and ChatGPT is currently the big player in the field. While usage and satisfaction levels can differ, these findings give us a great starting point for understanding the chatbot landscape better. It's clear that as these technologies evolve, they'll continue to shape how we communicate and get things done!

Chat bot Introduction

Chatbots in the Modern IT World – Why I Chose This Topic

Hey again!✋

In this post, I want to introduce the main topic I’ll be focusing on in my blog: chatbots—specifically how they’re changing the IT world right now.

This topic isn’t just about cool tech. It’s also about real issues like automation, privacy, and the way we communicate with machines more than ever before.

So, what exactly is the issue?

Chatbots have become a hot topic in IT. From virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa to the chat windows on customer service sites, bots are handling tasks that humans used to do.

But here’s the twist: while they make things faster and cheaper, they also raise concerns about job loss, data security, and whether bots really "understand" us. This shift is huge, and we’re only just seeing the beginning of it.

 How I’m researching this?

I’m using secondary research methods for this project—basically, gathering info from books, articles and news sources.

For this topic, I used descriptive research to gather and present existing information from trusted sources, and I also included a case study approach by exploring real-world examples of how chatbots are used in different industries. This helped me understand both the technical and practical sides of the issue .

Pros and Cons of chatbots

Advantages:

  • Available 24/7 to help customers or users

  • Fast, consistent, and scalable for businesses

  • Save time and reduce staffing costs

  • Can be integrated into multiple platforms (websites, social apps, etc.)

Disadvantages:

  • Privacy risks—chatbots often collect and store user data

  • Limited understanding of complex, emotional, or sensitive topics

  • May cause job loss in industries that rely on customer interaction

  • Ethical concerns about manipulating or impersonating human communication.

Why this topic matters to me

I chose this topic because it sits at the intersection of my interests—AI, programming, and communication. I’m someone who likes creating tools that make life easier, but I also think a lot about how those tools affect people. Chatbots have the potential to help millions, but they need to be designed responsibly. Coming from a country where access to technology isn’t equal or stable, I see how powerful it could be to build bots that truly help, not just sell.

🎯 What I hope to get from this

Through this blog and my presentation, I want to spark conversations about the real role of chatbots in our future. I’m not just here to repeat facts—I want to learn, share, and challenge ideas. I hope to better understand how we can build bots that are not only smart, but also safe, ethical, and helpful to people from all walks of life.

Welcome To Chat Bot Blog

Welcome to My Blog

Hey there! 👋

I’m excited to start this blog and share my thoughts, projects, and discoveries with you. My name’s Min, and I’m currently a computing student at DMUIC

I’m passionate about tech and how machines can help solve real-world problems. This blog is where I’ll be writing my journey, learning experience, and thoughts about the digital world, especially chatbots and the tech around them.

What’s inspiring me right now?

A big issue I keep thinking about is how AI is affecting communication, especially for people in isolated. That’s where chatbots have real power—not just answering questions but giving people access to support, education, and even a sense of human-like presence when real connections are risky or limited.

A report by UNESCO (2023) mentioned how AI tools like chatbots can support education in areas where schools are under-resourced or students are displaced. This got me thinking: what if we designed bots that not only answer but emotionally support people in crisis? That’s the kind of work I’d love to be part of—where code meets compassion.
