The Process of Making the PowerPoint Presentation
Creating this PowerPoint presentation on "Chatbots" was a step-by-step journey that helped me improve my research, design, and presentation skills.
My team began with topic selection and researching both primary and secondary sources. After that, I outlined the slides, created content, and finally designed each slide to be clear, informative, and visually appealing.
As seen in the screenshot below, the title slide introduces the presentation with a clean and minimal layout. The content was structured to include key areas: What is a Chatbot, Types of Chatbots, Where Chatbots Are Used, How They Work, and Pros and Cons. The right side features a robot illustration that visually reinforces the theme. Fonts and colors were carefully selected to keep the design professional yet friendly.

Thoughts on the Process
The process was both fun and challenging. I enjoyed turning complex technical ideas into something simple and engaging. The most time-consuming part was trying to find the right balance between information and simplicity.
Also, designing the visuals took time because I wanted the audience to follow the slides without getting bored or overwhelmed. I had to learn how to use transitions, text hierarchy, and consistent fonts.
Gantt Chart – Project Timeline
The Gantt chart below outlines the schedule I followed while completing this project. It began in the last week of April, starting with topic selection and ending on the presentation day, which was Thursday, May 23. Each task was carefully planned to avoid rushing at the last minute and to allow time for feedback and revision.
The Gantt chart helped me stay organized and track the completion of every milestone. It showed me how to break a large task into smaller manageable parts and distribute time realistically across research, content creation, designing slides, and scripting. If I ever lost track of progress, referring to this chart helped me refocus.
What I Would Do Differently
If I had to do this project again, I would start the design part earlier to give myself more time for fine-tuning the visuals and transitions. I would also try to conduct short interviews or surveys with fellow students as part of the primary research, to make the content more relatable and grounded in real experiences.
Another thing I would do is explore the use of animations or even embed a video demo of a chatbot in action to increase engagement. Lastly, rehearsing the speech in front of a small group for early feedback could make a big difference in delivery.
What I Learned from This Project
From this project, I learned how to simplify technical content like natural language processing and machine learning so that it's easier to understand for a general audience. I also gained experience in managing a creative project step-by-step using a timeline, which helped me stay organized.
Additionally, I discovered how important visuals and clarity are in a presentation. Overall, this project gave me a better understanding of both the subject and the presentation process.
Project Summary and Future of Chatbots
This presentation helped me understand how important and widespread chatbots have become. From healthcare to education, chatbots are everywhere. Through secondary research (articles, papers) and primary insights (my experience and informal surveys), I learned that most students use chatbots without even realizing it.
In the future, I see chatbots becoming more emotional, personalized, and capable of handling complex conversations. As AI evolves, chatbots will no longer just be helpers — they could become mentors, therapists, or creative partners.
Overall, this project gave me confidence in researching, presenting, and speaking to an audience — all valuable skills for my future academic and career goals.
